Square flange bearings
Square flange ball bearings require a wide surface to be attached over and for this reason are sometimes replace with oval flange ball bearings. 4 bolts hex bolts or socket bolts are required to attache square flange bearings. each of the holes designed on the surface of the bearing housing of these bearings is considered a point of concentration for tensions and therefore once exposed to high vibrations or forces there is a change for the housing to break.Cast iron is the most common material used to produce the housing units of these bearings.
