ship and barge anchor chain
Ship anchors and anchors have different sizes depending on the size of the ship, and the anchors of large cargo ships sometimes weigh more than 50 tons. The anchor chain is actually a type of chain that is connected to the anchor from one side and from the other side to the three-phase winches of the ship that have the task of gathering the anchor chain.
Although sea water is full of very corrosive salts and salts that quickly cause steel to rust, anchor chains are often produced from high grades of steel. In fact, the ability to change the mechanical capabilities of steel by changing the percentage of carbon and, of course, during the heat hardening process, has transformed this alloy to produce anchor chains that are subjected to severe tensile stress and even impact under the influence of sea waves.
