M8 fully threaded rod in the diameter of M8 mm to M12 mm has maximum industrial use. A metric screw is actually similar to a fully threaded rod that is produced in iron, steel or stainless steel grades. Galvanized iron or stainless steel metric screws are widely used in utility and construction industries. M8 fully threaded rod are produced in lengths of 1, 2 and 3 meters depending on the diameter of the wire. In low diameters such as 8 mm, it is often not possible to produce galvanized metric screws longer than 1 meter, because during gearing the screw, its long length causes warping or bending in the screw. However, it is possible to produce 3 meter long galvanized M8 fully threaded rod in larger diameters.

stainless steel threaded rod

Stainless steel threaded rods are available in low diameters with 1 meter length and sometimes in higher diameters up to 3 meters of length. both grades of 304 and 316 of stainless steel threaded rod are available that both have equal mechanical properties however Grade 316 has better resistance against corrosive materials. due to the lower tensile strength of stainless steel compared to carbon steel in most cases Coarse threads are used on the surface of stainless steel threaded rods.
