The main categories of chains are dry chains, steel chains and iron chains. Dry chain is actually a type of steel chain that is often known as G80 grade. Meanwhile, iron chains are produced in lower grades than G43 and using a lower percentage of carbon in alloy compounds. In fact, the main difference between dry chains and iron chains is the higher carbon percentage of dry G80 grade compared to the iron grade of chains, and of course, the heat hardening process that is used in the production of dry loading chains.
G80 dry chain is made of special steel wires that have been placed during the hardening process to increase the tensile and surface hardness and is produced by the forging method. Dry chain beads are bent separately and welded by passing over the previous bead.
