Turnbuckle is a type of rigging that is used along with wire rope slings and chain slings. turnbuckles are used in order to chain the length of connection and therefore fasten or loosen the sling connections. there are two types of turnbuckles in general including round and flat turnbuckles. different shapes of fittings are used on the open end of turnbuckle connection including eyes, sockets and hooks.
