Choosing the right hex Bolt and nut

A lot of factors are important to choosing the right bolt and nut . some of these factors basically determine the the the dimensions, the length and the diameter. some determine the material and the suitable standard and some the type of coating or finishing.

Calculation of the load, Shearing stress and the applicable tension leads to choosing the right Material, dimensions and the production standards. Hex bolts usually follow the international system standards of 5.6, 8.8 , 10.9 and 12.9.

The environment , where the hex bolt is used, is an other choosing factor that can determine either the coating and sometimes the material. since hex bolts are used as connecting links and are used in all kinds of hot, cold, humid, dry and various other environments choosing the right coating can be crucial. In hot and mildly humid areas using Galvanized and hot deep galvanized hex bolts and nuts is suitable. how ever in highly humid areas or the areas where acid and ammonium is significantly used galvanized coating would not last long and using Stainless steel bolt and nut is highly recommended
